It occurred to me just now that I don't think I posted anything on here about Kieran's speech therapy. A couple of weeks ago his speech therapist met with him for their first session. She told me she would leave me a note, but she left no note so I called her and left a voicemail asking about it. She called back and apologized profusely that her day had gotten away from her. She said he was a little shy at first, but warmed up and that he understood everything she said to him so that was positive. She said he showed her his signs (more and all done) and she was happy he has those signs, but that she obviously wants him to start using the words as well. She said she gave some tips to his teacher to have her work on it with him. She did not meet with him last week because it was spring break and she has 3 boys of her own, but I hope therapy resumes this week. She is planning on meeting with him intensively the next weeks before the end of the school year when her kids' schedules get crazy.
Kieran is playing more with saying Da-da and Ma-ma, but he still really isn't saying them as a reference to Mike or me I don't think. His teacher said she has heard him say mama and shoes there. Weird. Anyway, to be continued.
