Mike took Kieran back to the ped's office today for a recheck on his ears and to catch up on some vaccines they had trouble getting in stock. Apparently even after a full course of augmentin he still has ear infection(s) and needs more treatment through our vacation. Boo. Not to mention, it's the dang antibiotic we paid well over $50 for last time so I know that'll be something to look forward to. He was able to get his catch-up vaccines though and lots of refills for his inhalers and eye drops so we'll be all set in case he gets sick(er) while we're out of town. Poor little guy.
On the speech development front, I got a message from his speech therapist yesterday after she met with him:
"I saw Kieran today. He continues to do great. I can't get any two word phrases from him, but he is trying all single words and jargoning a lot. He is still a bit young for the two word phrases but keep working on those verbs and adjectives because he seems to want to label everything. I will plan to see him again in mid-July."
So that's coming along! We are making our annual trek to Indiana this weekend and will be there through July 4th returning to GA on the 5th. So I may be scarce on here until after that or maybe there will be blog action during vacation. Who knows?
